A path back to your wild, untamed self.
The Approach
at a glance
What this work is
Rewilding Earth & Psyche is depth coaching—a practice that draws on the depths of your own psyche, earth-based wisdom, and the radical idea that you are not broken. That the restlessness, the dissatisfaction, the sense that something is missing, is not a problem to be fixed. It is an invitation to go places you have yet to go.
This framework is built on the premise that human beings are wild creatures. As wild as any wolf, salmon, or grizzly bear. And that the project of modern civilization has been, largely, one of taming that wildness into something “productive” and manageable in consumer-conformist culture.
This work is about finding your way back to who you really are, and who you are meant to be.
Who this is for
It is for people who are:
Spiritually committed—not necessarily religious, but living with a felt sense that there is something larger at play
Psychologically stable enough to take care of yourself during and after intense emotional experiences
Ready to invest time, energy, and attention consistently over several months
Understanding that discomfort is a necessary element of growth and development
Willing to let go of cherished patterns and established identities
Drawn to the natural world as something more than a backdrop but rather an intrinsic part of you.
I want to acknowledge that the content of this website may make it seem that I am claiming to be an incredibly whole and deep, mature spiritual person who has it all figured out. I experience and struggle with everything that I speak to here.
I’m a human, just like you.
Far more is possible if you see me as a human, and not some all-knowing pedestaled other. All of this is an offering based predominantly on my personal journey, not from textbooks or a weekend workshop. Honestly, I spend a significant amount of energy kicking and screaming not wanting to continue on this journey. Alas, I still believe there is nothing else worth doing, which is why I’m here..
Who this is not for
This work is not for everyone. It’s actually not for most.
This is not a coaching practice for people who want to be optimized, fixed, or made more efficient to fit into our culture the way that it is. It is not therapy, and it does not treat mental health conditions.
This work is not for those who are NOT:
Willing to radically alter their lives
Ready to face what they most fear
This work is also not for people seeking:
Mental health diagnosis or treatment
Psychiatric medication management
Crisis services
Couples or family coaching
Anyone under the age of 18
* A note on access
I acknowledge that we live in a society where racism, sexism, income inequality, homophobia etc., are powerful forces that often negatively impact our lives in significant ways. I acknowledge that various traumatic experiences including and not limited to those just listed, influence the way that we live, and can be one of the main reasons we have difficulty becoming more whole. It takes significant time, energy, and (at least in the case of working 1-on-1 with me) money to go deeper inside of oneself. This work is very difficult to access for most people for this reason. I don’t have the answers, I’m just acknowledging that this is true.
The Approach
in more detail
A Journey We Take Together
I view my work as a coach as a journey that we embark on together. I hope to encourage people to be their best selves, to become more whole human beings. I hope that people will face their fears, and not let their fears stop them from acting in the world. I hope that people learn more about their unique role in this world, and learn to let go of all the baggage that is preventing them from reaching their highest potential. I am grateful to be able to do this work, and find that I benefit significantly from it, as I often learn a lot about myself and the world from my clients. Even though I am the one in the coaching role here, I am also just a human like you, on this journey we call life.
This Path Is Not for Everyone
However, to do this. We have to be willing to take risks, lose parts of ourselves, identities, relationships, and learn to become comfortable being uncomfortable. In order to transform into something more mature and resilient, we must be willing to let go of our current sense of self. As painful and heartbreaking as that might be. This is not a journey for the faint of heart, it is not for everyone, probably not for most. You might feel the allure of the unknown making itself known deep down. Is there more to my life than this? Is this really it? These questions can be the impulse of our True Selves making themselves known, longing to come out.
The Mature Self That Can Heal You
Thankfully, our psyche contains not just our wounded parts, but also parts of our mature adult Self to help us heal and experience wholeness. Some examples of these are our Nurturing Generative Adult, Inner Parent, Inner Beloved, Wild One, and the Sage. We may be less familiar with these parts, but we can learn to nurture them to help heal our wounded parts. Spending time in nature, dreamwork, artistic expression, active imagination, journaling, poetry, are all ways for us to heal and work with these different parts of us, get to know them better, and these concepts play a big part in the approach I take in my work.

The Mystical Adventure Hiding Inside You
My hope is to inspire people to understand themselves in a deeper way, to dive into their longings, fears, and dreams. To wonder and be curious about our suffering, and what we might be able to gain from it. When our imagination is awakened, we can begin to experience the treasures that have been hiding, that were inside of us all along. We can open up to the possibility that our lives can actually be an exciting mystical adventure, even given the realities of our lives in a society that actively attempts to turn us into lifeless and passive consumeristic drones.
Meeting Your Wounded Parts
The human psyche comprises the conscious and the subconscious mind. Much of who we are lies in the subconscious mind, meaning we are not aware of it at all. Operating underneath, most of what lies in the subconscious often plays the biggest role in our experience of life and our behaviors. Discovering some of what lies in these not-yet-known depths of our psyche enables us to have agency over who we are, rather than letting these aspects dictate from the shadows of our psyche.
We all have many parts of us to discover, some of these parts are called "subpersonalities," which are immature parts of us that develop in childhood to ensure our physical, social, emotional, and psychological well-being when we are growing up in often non-ideal environments. Some examples of these are our Inner Critic, Rescuer, Conformist, Rebel, Victim, Pusher, Addict, and Escapist. (These ideas have been greatly influenced by the work of Hal and Sidra Stone and Bill Plotkin.)
These wounded parts of us tend to not grow up, even as we grow older, they are still acting as if we are children, doing what they can to get our needs met. Usually, as we get older, these strategies tend to not work so well anymore. This often manifests stress, worry, anxiety, sadness, low motivation, lack of interest in life etc. Typically, these parts of us are the parts that we don't like and wish would just go away (except for the Rescuer usually, because we tend to get social validation from taking care of other people!). However, they will not just go away, and the path to healing and wholeness actually involves learning to be thankful for and love these parts of ourselves. Tired of Numbing Out?
I enjoy working with those who are tired of escaping and numbing with substances, screens, and socioeconomic/relational progress, and are wanting to feel, process, and be more engaged and present in life. Who long to feel more whole, more complete, and while these things can be useful, know that this won't come from jockeying around external things in our lives such as relationships, jobs, or moving across the country. When significant energy in our lives is given to escaping and numbing, the amount of progress we can make in our lives is extremely limited and potentially not possible.
Warning
I view my role is to facilitate you coming into relationship with the many archetypal energies of your wholeness. Hopefully, you give them consent to have their way with your life, perhaps for the first time in a significant way. I have no idea what these energies will ask of you. What they want from you is not up to me or you. You have been warned.
