You are wilder than you have ever been allowed to be.
Rewilding Self
-
Rewilding Self is in part a response to my disturbance, anger, and heartbreak at the state of humanity. After my experiences in spiritual and self-development circles, I have realized that, regardless of where you are on your individual journey, there are a few universal core wounds that seem to disable one from being in their wholeness the most. Rewilding Self aims to usher in one’s wholeness enough to face these wounds in order for the true essence of the individual to be expressed. Because I know we are capable of so much more.
Ever notice how seemingly any group of people tends to reproduce high school social dynamics, even as adults? One of the wounds that I see most plaguing humanity is putting authority figures on a pedestal. In other words, projecting your own power, wisdom, guidance etc. onto them. A teacher, a parent, a boss, a spiritual teacher, a podcaster, a social media influencer, politician, author, your yoga teacher, even the “cool” person in your friend group. They’ve all got to go, lol. Meaning, they need a demotion in your psyche, not necessarily that they need to be cast out of your life, although that may very well be the case.
If one wants to be able to offer anything of real substance to the world, they must have the ability to stand up for what they feel is truth in the face of persecution, particularly from those they respect and admire. Because power must come from within, not from seeking validation from others whom, in one way or another, have been determined to be smarter, wiser, more mature/developed, more spiritual, or more attractive.
The second major wound is projecting the Inner Beloved onto another, whether that be a romantic or sexual partner, or a group/community. The idea that someone or something else will make me feel better, smarter, hotter, more satisfied, or complete, etc. It’s a painful, exhausting, and addicting process to believe that someone or something else will make one feel more whole. This triggers a hamster wheel effect that most people get stuck running on for their entire lives. This is painful because this process will never work in achieving what we long for: the Beloved. And if we are really honest with ourselves, we already know this. The hamster wheel is so hard to get off because when we look around, everyone else is doing the same thing to some degree. It is hauntingly normal. We have all consented to maintaining this delusion together, as if to say: better this than to acknowledge the deep fear of being alone, which we all intrinsically feel.
The Inner Beloved is many things. The aspect that I’m focusing on here is the Beloved as the “other half” you’ve been searching for your entire life. Turns out, they’ve been inside of you all along. The Beloved is waiting for you. They’re not pushy, just waiting for you to be ready to risk it all, and waiting for you to be completely fed up with projecting your own self-love onto others.
Distilling it down to its most basic form, the goal of this work is helping to guide a person to become more whole in these two areas. Strengthening their relationship with their own Inner Parent, Warrior, Nurturing Generative Adult * and Inner Beloved.
This work encompasses much more than just these realms of the psyche mentioned above, but I see these areas as the most problematic in the world. If these are not present to a sufficient degree, there’s just no way for true, authentic, and mature wildness to be expressed in one’s life, outside of possibly fleeting moments in time. Most attempts that may appear to be truly wild are most likely a scam, acting, or having some agenda to fit in or impress others.
*Bill Plotkin’s term -
Rewilding Self is individual depth coaching. It draws on Internal Family Systems, Jungian depth work, earth-based frameworks, somatic practices, shadow work, Voice Dialogue, active imagination, the wisdom of the natural world, and is heavily influenced by the work of Bill Plotkin, Phd.
The goal is not to make you more functional within the system that is actively harming us and the earth. The goal is to help you discover and embody your True Self — and develop the internal resources to live that truth, including navigating whatever consequences may follow.
Fair warning: this work might meaningfully disrupt your life as it currently is. Both internally and externally. This is not a side effect, it is the point.

Mental health diagnosis or treatment of any kind
Psychiatric medication management or prescription
Crisis service
A quick fix, a hack, or an optimization
Psychotherapy or clinical intervention
Psychotherapy is designed to treat a mental health diagnosis — to reduce symptoms and ease suffering within a clinical framework. Earth-based depth coaching operates from an entirely different paradigm. It isn't treating a condition. Its aim is not to relieve your symptoms but to transform who you are.

Tyler believes that talking has real power as well as limits. Some parts of us live below the level of language, in the body, in symbol, in image, and in sensation. The most transformative work often happens not in what is said, but in what is felt, seen, imagined, and moved through.
Practices that form part of this work include:
Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Voice Dialogue
Emotional release techniques
Deep imaginary journeys and active imagination
Dreamwork
Somatic awareness
Breath, sound and movement practices
Earth-based practices and nature connection
Journaling and artistic expression
The Wim Hof Method

Most of what we call our personality is not actually all that we are. It is mostly a collection of “subpersonalities” — inner parts that developed in childhood to ensure our survival, belonging, and wellbeing in environments that probably could not support us well most of the time.
You may recognize some of yours: the Inner Critic who keeps you small. The Rescuer who helps others as a way of avoiding themselves. The Conformist who keeps the peace at the cost of authenticity. The Pusher who drives relentlessly and cannot rest. The Escapist who reaches for the screen, the drink, the distraction.
These parts are not enemies. They are formed to protect the parts of us called the Wounded Children, and they doing their best to protect us. When they run the show, they tend to cause problems. We forget we have access to something deeper — the mature adult Self, the Wild One, the Inner Parent, the Sage, and our capacity for genuine presence, genuine love, and genuine contribution.
This work is about learning to know all these parts that live inside of ourselves including the immature ones and the mature ones and how they impact one another in order to create an environment where the coexist in peace. This work creates a more whole person who can therefore offer more to love and heal the world.

If you consume non-prescribed mind-altering substances more than two days a week, the work offered by Rewilding Earth & Psyche will not be a good fit for you.
My perspective is that the use of alcohol and/or marijuana is typically used to numb. I understand there is nuance to this topic, but this is my perspective. This is not moralistic; it is practical. When significant energy goes into numbing and escaping, the available energy available to make progress in this work is severely limited. -
You would describe yourself as committed to some form of a Spiritual path
You desire to connect more deeply with yourself and the earth
You are willing and realistically have the time, energy, and money to invest in this journey right now.
You are willing to risk everything to become more whole of a person
If you can’t say truthfully that you are willing to risk everything (understandably, most people can’t). If that’s the case you can at least say that you would like to move in the direction of being able to say that truthfully.
You are emotionally and psychologically in a relatively stable state, and are able to take care of yourself in times of stress (my primary role is not to offer emotional support).
